Forest fire along Seria - Lumut Bypass

WRT3 returning to base after forest firefighting operation in Lumut Bypass

Forest fire had been occurred along the Seria-Lumut Bypass. The challenge is that the fire is not burning on the surface but it is burning beneath the surface which require the firefighters to flood the burning area in order to allow excess water to enter beneath the surface. Most forested areas in Belait District are made up of peat swamp forest (or Paya Gambut as the locals used to say). Currently, the Sg.Liang and Seria fire crews are struggling to fight the fire at the forest.

Two large scale forest fire had been reported which is at the Seria Bypass (near U-Turn to Badas area) and the second is at Lumut Bypass (below the bridge near the water pipeline).
