Monitor lizard caught in school

A large monitor lizard was caught last Thursday (16 January 2014, Thursday), the incident occurred in a religious school in Serusop around 2pm. The monitor lizard was spotted by the school staff and students thus calling the Fire Rescue Department (FRD). Two fire engines from the Berakas Fire Station and Women Operation Unit later arrived to catch the reptile in few minutes. Also present to witness the operation was the Wildlife Unit. The reptile was later released to the Sungai Kedayan near the Old Airport by the firefighters.
