A group of 18 staffs from Jerudong Park Medical Centre
(JPMC) this recently (5 February 2014, Wednesday) visit the Berakas Fire
Station. The visit was part of their program during their three day fire
marshal course which was held by Public Relation Unit and supported by Operational F command.
The group was led by Station Officer (SO) Andi Karmilawati
binti Hj.Abdul Karim who supervise the group during their three day course. At
the station, the group was briefed on
the firefighting and rescue scope of work and they also given chance to have a
closer look on the fire engines and motorcycles at the station. The visitors
also attracted on the special fire engines at the station such as Breathing
Apparatus Tender (BAT) and Hazardous Material (HAZMAT) tender.
When interviewed on the course the participants applaud the
effort as it educate them on fire safety and what to do during emergency such
as fire. They also hoped with their new fire prevention knowledge they can
increase the safety aspect both in workplace and home.
