Isuzu NPR / SK Fire LP16

Brunei Fire and Rescue Department (BFRD) 2011 Isuzu NPR with SK Fire bodyworks Light Pumper no.16 (LP16). This is the latest addition to the BFRD LPs fleet and it will be stationed at the new Rimba Fire Station. The specification of this new appliance is following its ancestors where it carry 900 L of water as well as firefighting and rescue equipment. Also fitted to the deck is a hand operated Rosenbauer RM24M monitor

Land Rover Defender Light Pumper no. 10 (LP 10)

The Land Rover Light Pumper no.10 (LP 10) was the only LP built on Land River Chassis, the rest was built on medium duty trucks. This unit operated from 1993 first saw service at Lamunin Fire and Rescue Station and later transferred to Rataie Fire and Rescue Station upon completion of the station. This appliance also receive new coat of paint and striping scheme. This appliance was equipped with a pump and carry a ladder and four suction hoses at the roof. The lockers stored basic rescue equipment and firefighting equipment as well.

2009 Mitsubishi Canter/ Fabristeel Light Pumper no.7 (LP7)

Brunei Fire and Rescue Department (BFRD) 2009 Mitsubishi Canter with Fabristeel bodyworks Light Pumper no.7 (LP7). This appliance currently served the Operational A Command as first attack fire appliance. This appliance is slightly different from its predecessor which bodyworks are built by SK Fire. Although it has two lockers on both sides (compared to its predecessor which has 3 lockers) but it has maximum load carrying capabilities. As its predecessor it also carry 900L of water and fitted with hand operated turret on the deck.

In conjunction of the recent 21st Convocation and 21st Convocation Festival Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) held a Career Fair at the UBD Chancellor Hall. The fair was officiated by the Dr.Hj.Junaidi bin Hj.Abd Rahman, Assistant Vice-Chancellor (Corporate and Administration)

Among the exhibitors are Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF), Royal Brunei Police Force, Brunei Fire and Rescue Department, BIA, AiTi, Skali and other NGO and goverment departments. In additon the committees also held career and inspiration seminar where successful entrepreneur give special lecture to inspire UBD students to success not only in their studies but on what to do next after they complete their studies.

Meanwhile the UBD Student Association (PMUBD) held a Safety and Security Show (PMUBDex) where safety and security agencies such as Royal Brunei Police Force and Brunei Fire and Rescue Department (BFRD) exhibits their applinaces, vehicles and launches.

Among the PMUBDex exhibitors are:

1. Royal Brunei Police Force Traffic Investigation and Control Department (JSKLL).
2. Royal Brunei Police Force Marine Police.
3. Hazardous Material (HAZMAT) Unit, Berakas Fire and Rescue Station.
4. Women Operation Unit (OPW)

Isuzu NPR/SK Fire Light Pumper no.8 (LP8)

Brunei Fire and Rescue Department (BFRD) 2009 Isuzu NPR/Light Pumper no8 (LP8) is one of the new three LPs commissioned and blessed into service during the BFRD 49th anniversary. Currently this appliance is stationed at Seria Fire and Rescue Station. This appliance will act as initial attack appliance in case of fire or any incident occurred in Seria where there a many narrow streets and also challenging terrain such as the New Village area (Kampong Baru).

Isuzu NPR / SK Fire Light Pumper no.14 (LP14)

Brunei Fire and Rescue Department (BFRD) 2006 Isuzu NPR with SK Fire Bodyworks Light Pumper no.14 (LP14). This appliance is stationed at both Tutong and Lamunin fire station (according to special requests). This appliance will support the station major appliance in responding calls to areas which are inaccessible to the major appliance. Same as the major appliance this appliance carry firefighting equipment, Hydraulic Rescue Tools, Ladders, hard suction hoses. Also fitted with Rosenbauer RM24M turret at its deck.

New appliances for Seria FRS

Brunei Fire and Rescue Department (BFRD) Operational "B" Command Seria Fire and Rescue Station received their newly commissioned appliance which was blessed on 11 March 2009 during the BFRD 49th celebration at BFRD Training Centre at Lambak Kanan Training Centre.
The new appliances are follows:

• 2009 Isuzu NPR/SK Fire Light Pumper no.8 (LP8)
• 2009 Mitsubishi FV/Morita MLK 4-30 30m Turntable Ladder no3 (TTL3)

Isuzu NPR/SK Fire Light Pumper no.9 (LP9)

2009 Isuzu NPR with SK Fire body works Light Pumper number no.9 (LP9). Currently stationed at Lambak Kanan Fire and Rescue Station. This appliance carry 900 Liters of water and its lockers stored various firefighting and rescue equipment. The deck is fitted with Rosenbauer RM24M hand operated turret. For roadside safety the new appliances including the LP are equipped with beacons for high visibility.

Isuzu NPR with SK Fire bodyworks Light Pumper no.11 (LP11). This appliance carry 900L of water and carry the firefighting and rescue equipment (Hydraulic Cutter and spreader). It is crewed by 5 personnel. Currently this appliance is the main firefighting appliance for the Women Operation Unit, Berakas.

Ford Trader/SK Fire Light Pumper no.2 (LP2)

Brunei Fire and Rescue Department Ford Trader with SK Fire Light Pumper no.2 (LP2) currently stationed at Operational "G" Command Bangar Fire and Rescue Station as the main turnout. This appliance has a 900 L of water and carry the firefighting and rescue equipment (including hydraulic rescue tools).

Lamunin FRS Light Pumper no.5 (LP5)

Brunei Fire and Rescue Department (BFRD) received several 2nd generation Light Pumpers somewhere in 2000-2003. The difference between the 1st generation and second generation LPs are the 2nd generation LPs is fitted with third side lockers to maximize equipment carrying capabilities. Bodyworks is built by SK Fire, Singapore.

Ford Trader/SK Fire Light Pumper no.1 (LP1)

Brunei Fire and Rescue Department (BFRD) commissioned the Ford Trader/SK Fire Light Pumper no.1 (LP1) in order to replace the ageing Reynolds Boughton RB44 Light Pumpers (LP) appliances. Basically the Ford Trader LPs bodywork is same at the old RB44 at that time. It tank is 900L and it carries all the equipment that major appliances do. BFRD only own three units of Ford Trader chassis LPs and the LPs after the Ford's were built on Isuzu NPR chassis. Currently the LP1 is stationed at Jerudong 2 fire station

2006 Isuzu NPR/SK Fire Light Pumper no.12 (LP12)

Brunei Fire and Rescue Department (BFRD) 2006 Isuzu NPR with bodywork built by SK Fire, Singapore Light Pumper no.12 (LP12). Commissioned in 2006 and stationed at Belait Fire and Rescue Station. This appliance is the station 1st strike appliance. The advantage of this appliance is that it can be driven in narrow roads and bridges compared to major fire appliance. This appliance carry 900L of water and also firefighting and hydraulic rescue equipment in its lockers.
