Mercedes Sprinter / Macneillie emergency ambulance

Brunei Ministry of Health (MoH) rcently acquired 7 units of new emergency ambulance using the Mercedes Sprinter chassis and bodywork by Macneillie, United Kingdom. The 7 new ambulance are supplied by Bayu Ilham motors where 5 are stationed at Brunei Muara, 1 at Kuala Belait and 1 at Tutong. The ambulances are fitted with compartments for live support equipment on both sides of the body. While the internal section are able to carry up to 2 casualties if needed. For on road safety purpose this ambulance is fitted with LED warning lighting and at its rear is fully furbished with reflective decals to warn motorist and personnel at incident sites.

Ex-BSPFAERS Mercedes 308D ambulance

The Suri Seri Begawan Hospital (HSSB) in Belait District receive the donation consist of two Mercedes 308D emergency ambulance last April 2011. The ambulance which is former Brunei Shell Fire and Emergency Response (BSPFAERS) used to served BSPFAERS for 15 years old. The ambulance now served the HSSB as main emergency ambulance and will provide support at other medical installations at Belait District if needed.

Brunei Ministry of Health Emergency Medical Ambulance Services (EMAS) wear several types of uniforms according to incidents that they attend. Photo shows some of the uniforms during the EMAS sprung into action.

Ford Explorer ambulance

Ford Explorer light ambulance from the Ministry of Health Emergency Ambulance Medical Service (EMAS) seen at the ambulance staging area last 23 February 2010 during the Brunei Darussalam 26th National Day celebration. This ambulance usually used for rural areas coverage where the rear section are modified to meet the ambulance specification and stretcher stowage port.

Mitsubishi Mobile Medical Centre (MMC)

Brunei Ministry of Health Mitsubishi Mobile Medical Centre (MMC). This vehicle is used at large scale events to support paramedics and medical staff in providing pre-hospital care. The internal section of this vehicle consist of a medical post which are equipped with pre-hospital care equipment.

LDV Maxus Westar emergency ambulance.

Brunei Ministry of Health (MoH) operates a fleet of LDV Maxus Westar emergency ambulance in order to strengthened its present fleet of emergency ambulance. This ambulance is delivered in several deliveries, according to MoH 24 ambulance will be commissioned by the end of 2009.

Ford Transit ambulance

Ford Transit emergency ambulance operated by Brunei Ministry of Health (MoH) paramedic unit. This ambulance had received the new white color scheme with red/white checker striping.

Mitsubishi L200 MoH Multi Purpose Vehicle

Brunei Ministry of Health (MoH) Mitsubishi L200 multi purpose vehicle. This vehicle is used to transport medical supplies to rural and rugged areas. Beside transporting role, this vehicle also used to transport medical officers.

Mitsubishi Rosa bus cum Blood Donation Vehicle

A two in one vehicle operated by Ministry of Health. This is a Mitsubishi Rosa 22 seater bus and will be converted into blood donation vehicle during blood donation drive around Brunei.

Holden Commodore Ambulance and Toyota Hiace Support Van

Three vehicles seen at Suri Seri Begawan (SSB) Hospital at Belait Town. It consist of two Toyota Hiace patient transporter/ light casualty van. While at the left is the Holden Commodore emergency ambulance.

Holden Commodore Ambulance

Brunei Ministry of Health (MoH) Holden Commodore ambulance. This ambulance is built on the special purpose Holden Commodore chassis with bodyworks by Jakab. At its casualty bay there are breathing apparatus, pre-hospital care equipment and also a stretcher bay. Currently all the Holden Commodore ambulance are put as reserve ambulance.

Ford Transit Ambulance

This Ford Transit ambulance is acquired somewhere in 2002 (if not mistaken) by the Brunei Ministry Of Health (MoH). This ambulance is fully equipped with every essential equipemnt for pre hospital care compared to the Holden Commodore ambulance. Recently this ambulance is getting new striping and decals. Possibly they will paint it white if necessary.
