Brunei Fire and Rescue Department (BFRD) Special Squad operates the Italian made Fresia F800 4x4 Rapid Intervention Vehicle no.2 (RIV2). This appliance is built on conventional airport crashtender chassis. It is fitted with a roof mounted turret which can shoot both water and foam (although foam is the most common). To protect the vehicle from fire it is fitted with under-chassis nozzle. The lockers also carry rescue equipment.

Special Squad Rescue Trailer (SSRT)

The Special Squad rescue trailer is a new addition to the unit. This trailer will be tow to incident site and provides rescue tools for the Special Squad members. This trailer also used for overseas rescue mission deployment.

Volvo FL10/Fabristeel Mobile Rescue Unit no.1 (MRU1)

The Volvo FL10 with Fabristeel bodyworks Mobile Rescue Unit no.1 (MRU1) is operated by the Brunei Fire and Rescue Department Special Squad unit. This appliance role is as the moving equipment carrier. The lockers stored various equipment from Diving BA sets, Conventional BA sets, Hydraulic Rescue Tools, Airbags and other equipment for major rescue operations. This appliance also fitted with spotlights (for night operations), a mechanical crane at the rear and a front winch.
