Last 16 March 2011, Brunei Fire and Rescue Department (BFRD) receive and commissioned five units of new pick-ups to strengthened its General Purpose Vehicle (GPV) fleet. The latest GPVs which used the Mitsubishi Fuso FE chassis was fitted with pick up bodywork complete with steel awning. The 5 new GPVs will be distributed to fire stations at Brunei for cargo carrying roles as well as for operational roles where it can be converted into hose layer and equipment carrier especially at areas which are not accessible to major fire appliances.
