Forest fire at Sungai Mau

A forest fire occurred this afternoon (25 June 2012, Monday)  at Sungai Mau Village, Belait. The fire which occurred around 5pm near the Sungai Mau refuse collection point cause the village to be covered in smoke and reducing visibility at the main road leading to Labi. A team of firefighters in two fire engines from Sungai Liang fire station rushed to the scene to control and extinguish the fire. The fire was brought under control 40 minutes later.
