Tree uprooted in Mata Mata

An old tree at Simpang 55 kampong Mata-Mata uprooted last Friday (2 August 2013, Friday) and blocking the main road at the area. The incident which occurred around 9am saw the tree uprooted due to aging and slightly windy condition. A group of nearby residents tried to move the tree but failed, they later contacted the fire rescue department which dispatched a team of firefighters and a fire engine from Beribi fire station to clear the area. No property damage or injury are reported in the incident.
