Cat rescued in Delima

The scene at the Delima commercial area, Berakas last Friday (27 September 2013, Friday) turned into minor chaos after two fire engines arrived at the area as most of the shoppers thinking there is a fire at the area. The incident which occurred around 9am at the Block “C” building in front of the Hua Ho Department Store (Delima Branch) was a cat rescue operation.

The stray cat be seen walking around the ledge at the second floor unit. The public then made an emergency call to the Fire Rescue Department (FRD) who dispatched two fire engines from Berakas Fire Station and Women Operation Unit. The firefighters then conduct rescue operation from the window and one of the women firefighter then snatch the cat safely once they opened the window. The public, shop owners as well as the rescuers are also puzzled how the cat managed to get on the ledge as at the time all windows are closed and they said possibly the cat jumped from the roof and trapped on the ledge.
