A group of 19 police personnel from various police stations at Brunei Muara District currently attended the three day fire marshal course at the Muara Fire Station. The course which started last Wednesday (28 March 2012) will ended this Saturday (31 March 2012).
During the course the police personnel are taught on the basic firefighting methods using the fire extinguishers and the firefighting hose reels. The course was facilitated by the operation A Public Relation Unit with support from the Muara Fire Station. This afternoon (29 March 2012, Thursday) the police personel are taught on the firefighting hose operation and survival in case of collapse building.
According to Deputy Station Officer (DSO) Pg.Hj.Muhamad bin Pg Tengah who supervised the course participants said “This is the second group from the Brunei Muara police personnel to participate the course. The previous group had undergo the similar course last year. In this course the number of women participants also rise where there are 8 compare to the last year where only one participate the course”.
At the end of the course the participants will experienced the smoke house drill which will took place at the Berakas Fire Station this coming Saturday (31 March 2012). The group are also scheduled to visit the nearby Women Operation Unit fire station which located nearby.
