The BFRD booth which was facilitated by the Public Relation
Department, BFRD Archive, Exhibition and Photographer Department as well as the
BFRD Headquarters. The exhibits consisted of two sections namely recruitment
enquiry as well as operational equipment capability. In the first two days of
the exhibitions saw nearly hundreds visitors had visited the booth where most
of them saw interest in firefighting career. While on the operational
capability equipment saw the exhibits of the equipment used by BFRD in
industrial and non-industrial incidents such as Hazardous Material (HAZMAT)
suits and response equipment, Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) and marine rescue
equipment as well as the fire motorcycles which was used by the department
first responders in emergencies before the arrival of fire engines.
BFRD welcomes the public to visit and enquire especially on
recruitment issues for the future recruitment of the fire officers as well as
firefighter posts during the exhibition operation time. The BFRD participation
also as a sign of support to the oil and gas industry as one of the largest
firefighting and civil defence agency which respond to any emergency including
industrial emergency across the nation.
